AIS participates in the World Math Day 2011

March 1 was World Math Day and it was highlighted by an online mathematics competition participated in by 5.3 million students from 218 countries. This is a competition where students compete with other students around the world in live games of mental arithmetic.

Six students from Grade 6 represented our school AIS for the first time in the said competition. They are: Oscar Castro, Justin Currie, Alejandro Lopez, Nicolas Rivas, Matias Mendez and Gimin Joung. Each of them played a total of 100 games with 20 games per level. All of our six students participants obtained points that qualified them to receive Platinum Awards. Mr. Luis Ramos served as their coach.
