On Saturday, October 18, 11 students, 7 parents and Mr. Mark visited
Comedor Maria Acoge. This is a soup kitchen in La Chimba that operates
on weekends for children who may not get a nutritious meal on the
weekend. Run through the efforts of community parents and volunteers,
this soup kitchen is working towards self-sustainability. We had the
privilege to bring a few non-perishable food items, enjoy some
activities and eat lunch with the children there. It was really amazing
to see everyone participate in different ways and even meet new
friends. Students showed open-minded, responsible and caring attitudes
and were truly excellent representatives of the AIS community.
